Hi, I’m Cat! I’m a mum of two wonderful boys and have over 10 years of experience as a primary school teacher. Since having my own children, I’ve become especially interested in how young minds grow and develop. I’ve had the opportunity to work in nurseries and kindergartens in France and Germany, gaining valuable insights into different approaches to learning and play. Alongside teaching, I’m also a dance instructor, which adds an extra layer of creativity and movement to how I engage with children. I’ve seen firsthand how much fun and joy children can have while learning, especially when it’s presented in playful, interactive ways. As a mum, I noticed how confident many parents became with phonics thanks to the fantastic resources and classes available. But when it comes to early maths, I realised there wasn’t as much support out there for parents. Knowing how important a strong foundation in maths is for children’s development, I decided to create a class that encourages young children to explore early maths skills through fun, playful activities. My goal is to not only spark a love for maths in little ones but also give parents the tools and confidence to promote early maths skills through everyday play!
